Scuba Refresher / Pre-trip Checkup

Are you planning a dive trip but have not been in the water for a while? Or perhaps you want to test your gear and personal diving skills before an upcoming trip? Our Scuba Refresher/Pre Trip Checkup program is the program for you.

Details

Why waste one of your precious diving days doing a refresher?     Or why risk going on a diving holiday only to find one of your pieces of kit has a problem?

Our Scuba Refresher / Pre-Trip checkup is designed to accomplish the following:

  • Do a refresher of your dive skills and provide some corrective assistance where needed
  • Help you work on your breathing and buoyancy
  • Refine your kicking techniques
  • Help improve any specific dive skills that may be relevant for your chosen dive destination
  • Help you test and get familiar with your gear – be it old or new
  • Address any areas where you want additional practice

The program runs one session (about 2 hours).

Pre-requisites

  • Minimum Scuba Diver certification with any dive agency
  • No medical changes since the last dive (or a doctor’s clearance if applicable)

Price

  • Rs 6,000

This is all-inclusive and covers a skills review, corrective training as needed and any specialized techniques needed for your dive trip.     Gear is included in the price as well.

Other Info

We have three very similar programs, all of whom have the shared goal of helping divers get better.     The following are the differences between them:

  • Scuba Refresher / Pre-Trip Review (this program):   it is designed for relatively new divers who are at least moderately comfortable in the water but who want a little more practice and/or some instruction to continue to refine their skills.
  • Customized/Remedial Training:   this program is also designed for relatively new divers, but who do not feel very comfortable in the water and who are hesitant to go diving as a result.   This could be because the Open Water course was not enough to get them comfortable, or because they had an incident while diving which has put them off.    The purpose of this is to really build strong diving fundamentals and develop confidence in the water – so there is a greater focus on re-training and correcting any bad habits that may have cropped up.
  • Advanced Dive Fundamentals Training:  this is for beginner to intermediate divers who are comfortable in the water but who want to continue to refine their dive skills.      The emphasis on this program is less on reviewing existing skills but more on building upon them.

All three are conceptually very similar – they are all aimed at certified divers who want to get better.     The only difference is where along the spectrum of “comfort” a diver falls.     Please message us using the Whatsapp link below if you would like to discuss which option is best for you.
