All courses at Bangalore Scuba are taught by Vandit Kalia, aka Vinnie, the founder of DIVEIndia and pioneer of scuba diving in the Andamans.
Vinnie is one of India’s most experienced dive professionals, having been diving since 1991 and an instructor since 2001 and an Instructor Trainer with 2 different agencies (NAUI and SSI) since 2008. He is also an experienced trimix/cold water diver, having done nearly a thousand dives in the cold waters of the North Atlantic, including the Andrea Dorea, widely regarded as the Mt Everest of tech diving.
With well over a thousand students taught, all the way from beginner to instructor, he has been a key part of the development of the DIVEIndia Teaching methodology that makes our training programs among the best you can find anywhere in the world.
Having a dive center in your home town provides a lot of benefits, the most important of which is the ability to learn at your own pace without the time constraints of a holiday. You can take as long as you want to get comfortable and more importantly, save your precious vacation time for actually diving in the ocean.
In addition, you also have a “home base” – a place to network with other divers, to get unbiased advice on equipment, dive trips and more, and also help you gain additional skills as you progress as a diver.
