Customized / Remedial Scuba Training

Have you completed your Open Water course but don't feel comfortable in the water? Or perhaps you had a scary experience during a dive and now are nervous about going back in? You are not alone - a large percentage of new divers go through this. Our program is designed to fix these problems and make you a confident, safe diver.

Details

Different people learn at different rates – however, the nature of a 3-4 day Open Water course means that there is only so much flexibility for someone who needs more time.   As a result, either the diver is unable to complete the course, or gets the certification but lacks the confidence to dive.

Other times, the diver may have had a bad experience in currents, low vis, choppy seas, which makes them hesitant to get in the water again.

We strongly believe that barring medical conditions, there is no such thing as someone who cannot dive:   it is merely a matter of time and effort, both on the part of the student and the instructor.        And this program is designed to get the nervous or hesitant diver back in the water via the only way that works:  fixing their dive skills so that they gain that confidence.

Yes, you can dive.    No, that one bad dive does not define the sport of diving.   We will help you get over it.

The program duration depends upon the diver:  generally speaking, one or two sessions are typically sufficient for a certified diver, but sometimes, it may take more.

Pre-requisites

  • Minimum Scuba Diver certification with any dive agency
  • No medical changes since the last dive (or a doctor’s clearance if applicable)

Price

  • Rs 6,500 for the first session,  Rs 5,500 for additional sessions if need be

This is all-inclusive and covers customized training designed around your needs – including and up to full re-training, if need be.

Other Info

We have three very similar programs, all of whom have the shared goal of helping divers get better.     The following are the differences between them:

  • Scuba Refresher / Pre-Trip Review:   it is designed for relatively new divers who are at least moderately comfortable in the water but who want a little more practice and/or some instruction to continue to refine their skills.
  • Customized/Remedial Training (this program):   this program is also designed for relatively new divers, but who do not feel very comfortable in the water and who are hesitant to go diving as a result.   This could be because the Open Water course was not enough to get them comfortable, or because they had an incident while diving which has put them off.    The purpose of this is to really build strong diving fundamentals and develop confidence in the water – so there is a greater focus on re-training and correcting any bad habits that may have cropped up.
  • Advanced Dive Fundamentals Training:  this is for beginner to intermediate divers who are comfortable in the water but who want to continue to refine their dive skills.      The emphasis on this program is less on reviewing existing skills but more on building upon them.

All three are conceptually very similar – they are all aimed at certified divers who want to get better.     The only difference is where along the spectrum of “comfort” a diver falls.     Please message us using the Whatsapp link below if you would like to discuss which option is best for you.
