Group Scuba Diving Trips From India

For starters – yes, we did say “group scuba diving trips from India” and not “Bangalore”.    We may be called Bangalore Scuba, but we have divers from all across the country who are part of our community.    So our trips are not just for people from Bangalore (hello Mumbai, Delhi and other cities, all y’all are included).   We’ve also had folks join us from Singapore, London and elsewhere, so folks from all around the world are welcome to join.    🙂

So what are all these trips about?

Well, we do all the work for you:  we pick the right location and the right time to go there, we pick the dive center, we plan the dive sites we are going to visit, we pick the resort we will stay at and we arrange all local transfers.   A Bangalore Scuba professional is present on all trips – s/he will assist with logistics and also provide some additional support to divers who may need it.    In addition, if you want to complete any specialty training, our instructor can provide that on the trip (if feasible).   So all you need to do is roll up and dive.

A word about our philosophy – we generally believe that diving should be as accessible as possible.    It isn’t a cheap sport to begin with, but it can get a lot more expensive if you pick super-luxury resorts and such.   On the other hand, we also feel that there is no point going on a dive trip and then living in squalor in dingy hotels:  that kinda ruins the entire holiday.

So our emphasis, especially with stay, is value for money – we try to pick places that are comfortable, have a good vibe and contribute to making the holiday fun (although sometimes we do splurge if the difference is truly worth it, as it is for a place like Raja Ampat, for example).

Our Upcoming Trips

We have the following trips coming up, with a few more in the works.       As always, contact us for more info on the trip or to determine which one would be suitable for your interests and experience level – drop us a mail or send us a Whatsapp message, and we will send you a trip document

Fuvamulah & Addu, Maldives:  February 20-28, 2025

Located in the Deep South, well away from the more popular/touristy islands, Addu & Fuva offer very different diving – barrier reefs with rich coral life and mantas in Addu and big pelagics in Fuva, where getting up and close with tiger sharks is almost guaranteed, but there is also a chance to see threshers and hammerheads.

Andamans I:  Mar 8-16, 2025

This is the first of our two trips this season to the Andamans, where it all began for us way back in 2001, when Vinnie went to the islands hoping to spot hammerheads (spoiler: he didn’t).

And we’ve packed it with a variety of sites catering to all levels of divers: not only will we visit all the top sites (and dive them with the guy responsible for discovering them), but the sequences of sites is also planned in a way that will help divers “level up” their skills.    As part of the trip, we will do 8 dives in Neil and 7 dives in Havelock, followed by an optional trip to Barren Island.

  • Diver Level:   All experience levels
  • Price:   Rs 85,900 for 15 dives, Rs 125,900 for 18 dives included 3 on Barren
Malapascua, Philippines:  April 5-11, 2025

The obvious reason for diving Malapascua:  close encounters with thresher sharks, as they ascend from deep water in the early morning.     But while encounters with these majestic (and slightly dopey looking) animals is always a thrill, Malapascua has a lot more to offer:   variety ranging from tiger sharks to turtles to absolutely amazing macro life (pygmy seahorses, shrimps, nudibranches and more).   And excellent pizza and chocolate mousse, too!

Our 6n trip has 15 dives on offer, including 2 days in Kimud/Monad for threshers, a day at Gato Island and also a day at Capitancillo, as well as a mandarin fish dive – ie, all the highlights of the region.

  • Experience Level:   Advanced recommended – can be done on the trip

Andamans II:  Apr 5-13, 2025

This is the second of our two trips this season to the Andamans.

As before, it is designed for divers of all levels, visiting all the highlights of Havelock and Neil, and in a progression that will also help divers “level up” up their skills – 8 dives in Neil and 7 dives in Havelock, followed by an optional trip to Barren Island.

Similans, Thailand:  April 12-16, 2025

One of our most popular trips, and for good reason: bright skies, wooded islands and nutrient-rich water promising encounters with up to 500 species of marine life, including large pelagics.

The relatively accessible nature of this trip, in terms of price, logistics and ease of diving, make it suitable for everyone, from experienced divers to beginners looking to put their shiny new Open Water cards to work.

For the trip, we will eat, sleep and laze  on a 24m wooden boat for 5 days/4 nights – and also find time to fit in 15 dives and limitless fun.

Tubbataha, Philippines:  April 12-18, 2025

Ask any experienced diver to name a handful of “must visit” Indo-Pacific destinations and a name that comes a close second to Raja Ampat is Tubbataha.    A UNESCO World Heritage site, this remote reef is only accessible for a few months each year by liveaboard, and is said to contain 75% of the described species of coral and 40% of the reef fish species.

Mantas, whalesharks, epic drop offs, soft and hard corals and even a wreck dive – our trip almost sold out within a week of being announced, and we only have a handful of slots free at present.

  • Trip Category:   Enthusiasts
  • Experience Level:   Advanced/Deep cert and 50 dives recommended
  • Price:   CLOSED
Raja Ampat:  April 13-20, 2025

We weren’t planning on a Raja repeat for 2025, but after the amazing trip we had there last year, we had to put it back on the agenda.     Land-based again, to give us the most flexibility in choice of dive sites to visit (or repeat), and to avoid large groups – the best way to dive Raja Ampat, we feel – this trip takes us back to Dampier Strait and Central Raja, from where we dive classics like Cape Kri, Manta Point, Blue Magic and more

  • Trip Category:   Bucket list
  • Experience Level:   Advanced cert and 25 dives recommended
  • Price:   CLOSED
South Red Sea liveaboard:  May 15-22, 2025

For this year’s pilgrimage to the crystal blue water of the Red Sea, we are heading south.   Way, way south.   To the rarely-visited reefs of Fury Shoals and St Johns, where we will dive among some amazing coral formations and hopefully have close encounters with turtles, hammerheads, oceanic white tips and a pod of resident dolphins, along with the crystal clear waters and colourful reef fish the Red Sea is known for.

With 21+ dives planned on the schedule, this trip is suitable for all experience levels, so newer divers are also welcome to experience the magic of liveaboard diving and big fish action.

Socorros (Mexico):  May 19-27, 2025

While Galapagos gets all the fame, the islands of Socorros in Mexico and Cocos in Costa Rica offer the same Big Fish action, at a lot lower prices and more palatable water temperatures.    The island chain of Socorros – technically, the Revillagigedo Archipelago – is 600km off the coast of Baja and offers mind-blowing pelagic action:  10 different types of sharks, huge schools of jacks and, at this time of the year, large bait-balls which bring predators in to hunt.

Maratua, Indonesia:  Aug 10-16, 2025

Where, you ask?     Off the east coast of Kalimantan, Borneo lies a group of islands that still remain mostly undiscovered.    Which is a surprise, because the waters here are teeming with turtles, barracuda, sharks (including threshers), mantas and macro as well.       Our trip includes 15 dives spread out over the highlight spots of Maratua, Sangalaki and Kakaban, and is shaping up to be possibly the highlight trip of the year when it comes to sheer variety of marine life.

  • Experience Level:   Advanced and approx 20 dives

Banda (Indonesia):  Nov 6-16, 2025

The Banda Sea has a reputation for being an unexplored jewel in the coral triangle, with vibrant corals, deep walls and great variety of fishlife.  We have chosen to back there on a land-based trip, so that we can pick and choose exactly which sites we want to go to and/or repeat (and there are some sites here that we definitely will want to repeat!).   And did we mention, this is hammerhead season?

Palau:  December 2025

The South Pacific islands have a mystique of their own – crystal clear waters, white sand beaches and most importantly for divers, waters teeming with amazing marine life.    Colourful reef fish, wrecks, walls, sharks and mantas… what else do you want?

This will be a liveaboard trip – details coming soon.

Galapagos (Ecuador):  TBD, 2026

Ask any diver to name the best dive destination in the world, and opinions will be split between Raja Ampat and Galapagos.    While the former offers amazing tropical diving, Galapagos offers the best Big Stuff diving, with large schools of mantas, sharks (and yes, that includes hammerheads), jacks and also the chance to dive with playful seals.   This is a painfully expensive trip, no denying that, but it is also one of those places you have to visit atleast once in your life

  • Trip Category:   Bucket List
  • Experience Level:   Advanced, 50 dives
  • Price:   Coming Soon
