For starters – yes, we did say “group scuba diving trips from India” and not “Bangalore”. We may be called Bangalore Scuba, but we have divers from all across the country who are part of our community. So our trips are not just for people from Bangalore (hello Mumbai, Delhi and other cities, all y’all are included). And since we’ve also had folks join us from Singapore, London and elsewhere, technically speaking, we’re global. 🙂
Group Scuba Diving Trips From India
So what are all these trips about?
Well, we do all the work for you: we pick the right location and the right time to go there, we pick the dive center, we plan the dive sites we are going to visit, we pick the resort we will stay at and we arrange all local transfers. A Bangalore Scuba professional is present on all trips – s/he will assist with logistics and also provide some additional support to divers who may need it. In addition, if you want to complete any specialty training, our instructor can provide that on the trip (if feasible). So all you need to do is roll up and dive.
A word about our philosophy – we generally believe that diving should be as accessible as possible. It isn’t a cheap sport to begin with, but it can get a lot more expensive if you pick super-luxury resorts and such. On the other hand, we also feel that there is no point going on a dive trip and then living in squalor in dingy hotels: that kinda ruins the entire holiday.
So our emphasis, especially with stay, is value for money – we try to pick places that are comfortable, have a good vibe and contribute to making the holiday fun (although sometimes we do splurge if the difference is truly worth it, as it is for a place like Raja Ampat, for example).
Our Upcoming Trips
We have the following trips coming up, with a few more in the works. As always, contact us for more info on the trip or to determine which one would be suitable for your interests and experience level – drop us a mail or send us a Whatsapp message, and we will send you a trip document
A liveaboard trip that covers Brothers-Daedalus-Elphinstone, this trip offers excellent coral, fishlife, ship wrecks and most importantly, sharks (it is peak shark season in the south).
- Trip Category: Enthusiast
- Diver Level: Intermediate
- Price: FULL
Located in the Deep South, well away from the more popular/touristy islands, Addu & Suva offer very different diving – barrier reefs with rich coral life and mantas in Addu and big pelagics in Fuva, where getting up and close with tiger sharks is almost guaranteed, but there is also a chance to see threshers and hammerheads.
- Trip Category: Enthusiasts
- Diver Level: All experience levels
- Price: $1110
If there ever was a list of top liveaboard trips, this would be at the top of the list. Starting in Raja Ampat, the boat works its way to Ambon, covering some amazing dive destinations along the way that are only accessible during this crossing. Everything from sharks to mantas to large schools of pelagics to vibrant soft coral to amazing macro life is on offer here. This is “bucket list” diving.
- Trip Category: Bucket List
- Diver Level: Advanced
- Price: $7140 (Contact us for a discounted rate)
The Similans need no introduction – with over 500 species of marine life to be found, this trip has pretty much everything: large varieties of colorful reef fish nestled amidst healthy hard and soft coral, big stuff like sharks and mantas, as well as critters like octopi, nudibranchs and more. And we are heading there just after spawning season, when reef biomass should be at its highest.
- Trip Category: Casual to Enthusiasts
- Diver Level: All levels
- Price: THB 25,150++ per person
We’d never heard of it until recently either – but when we did, it had our attention. More varieties of coral than Raja Ampat? Large schools of fish? Mantas? Sharks? Undiscovered and well off the beaten track? Yes, yes, yes, yes and yes.
And best of all – it is still affordable and also suitable for divers of all abilities (unlike Raja and Komodo, for example), so even if you are a newer diver, you can still experience diving in world-class reefs.
- Trip Category: Highlight
- Diver Level: All
- Price: $1085 (early bird), $1185 (regular)
We like seeing Big Stuff. Sharks, mantas and more. And when it comes to sharks, few places offer the opportunity to see as many in a single place as South Africa and Mozambique.
This week of diving is dedicated mainly to sharks, although we will spend enough time on reefs as well. Highlights we hope to see: Hammerheads, Tiger Sharks, Bull Sharks and Mantas
- Trip Category: Enthusiasts
- Experience Level: Intermediate (but having an Advanced/Deep cert)
- Price: $1300 (2 slots left)
Ask any experienced diver to name a handful of “must visit” Indo-Pacific destinations and a name that comes a close second to Raja Ampat is Tubbataha. A UNESCO World Heritage site, this remote reef is only accessible for a few months each year by liveaboard, and is said to contain 75% of the described species of coral and 40% of the reef fish species.
Mantas, whalesharks, epic drop offs, soft and hard corals and even a wreck dive – our trip almost sold out within a week of being announced, and we only have a handful of slots free at present.
- Trip Category: Enthusiasts
- Experience Level: Advanced/Deep cert and 50 dives recommended
- Price: FULL. (Contact us for waitlist)
While Galapagos gets all the fame, the islands of Socorros in Mexico and Cocos in Costa Rica offer the same Big Fish action, at a lot lower prices and more palatable water temperatures. The island chain of Socorros – technically, the Revillagigedo Archipelago – is 600km off the coast of Baja and offers mind-blowing pelagic action: 10 different types of sharks, huge schools of jacks and, at this time of the year, large bait-balls which bring predators in to hunt.
- Trip Category: Bucket List
- Experience Level: Advanced
- Price: $3750
This trip has one main agenda – to experience the world’s largest current and dive with hammerheads. Yes, there will be other things to see as well (lots of pelagic action, countless schools of fish covering your entire field of view), but the main goal is to experience being in a “river” of hammerheads. If there ever was a life-changing experience, that would be it, we feel.
- Trip Category: Highlight Trip
- Experience Level: Intermediate to Advanced
- Price: TBD
